Dr. Soren Ingomar Petersen – CEO & co-founder

Ph.D. Stanford, MS Technical University of Denmark, BS Art Center College of Design

Dr. Søren Petersen is an international business consultant and design science researcher, author and a regular contributor to The Huffington Post – The Creative Economy: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/soren-petersen.

Throughout his twenty-year career, he has worked with many top tier international organizations, including Rambøll Group, BMW Group DesignworksUSA, Stanford University, Copenhagen Business School, Fraunhofer Institute, INDEX: Award, Delft University, Kookmin University and Hanyang University.

He received his PhD from Stanford University in ME Design Research, MS Mechanical Engineering from The Technical University of Denmark and his BS Transportation Design from Art Center College of Design. He has published twenty-three scientific papers and over one hundred and sixty articles on the Creative Economy, as well as, authoring Profit from Design, a definitive book on design quantification.

Research areas are comprised of design strategy – developing processes, methods, tools and metrics for bridging business and design. These include: Design Driven Startups, Design & Business Model Experimentation, Design Balanced Scorecards, Design Driven Portfolio Management, Inspirational Design Briefing, Managing Designers’ Risk Attitude, Gamification in Concept Design and Crowdsourcing Design Research.

Agustin Grube – CTO & co-founder

Agustin received his Masters in Business from California Lutheran University in Management & Organizational Behavior and Finance. He received his BS in Business from the University of Southern California and is a graduate of USC’s Entrepreneur Program (The Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies). Agustin is a Marine Corps Veteran (o311) and 20 year seasoned professional with career highlights of being  a founder of three small companies, a fortune 500 marketing consultant, and turnaround CEO of a health care company.

 

Agustin is the Founder of Bayfish, a branding, web design and digital marketing agency to better connect brands with consumers in a digital world. Top clients include NatGeo Channel shows The Incredible Dr. Pol and Caesar Millan Foundation.

 

Agustin also founded Entricate, a boutique management consulting firm which helped clients create long-term value by focusing on a mixture of financial and non-financial measures and activities to implement strategies by translating objectives into operational goals. Strategies included e-commerce, multi-channel marketing, consumer behavior, business development, online advertising, digital branding, funding and valuation, online security, product development and user experience in the following industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Pet Products, Investment Management, Real Estate Services, Home Health Care, Professional Training Services, Auto Collision Repair, and Auto Dealerships.

 

Agustin was a co-instructor at UCLA Extension providing students with strategic planning process to expand existing or start-up businesses using a variety of channels including the Internet. He lectured and advised on a variety topics including trends in B2C/B2B e-commerce, multi-channel marketing, consumer behavior, business development, marketing strategies, online advertising and ROI, digital branding, funding and valuation, online security, product development and user experience.

 

Early in his his career, Agustin was a Market & Marketing Analyst for Information Resources Inc., (a “Big Data” provider) where he compiled, analyzed, and presented market trends, consumer demographics, sales performance, brand coverage, product promotion lift, and profitability on nationally branded products like Uncle Ben’s Rice, Healthy Choice; Peter Pan Peanut Butter, Van Camp’s, Orville Redenbacher’s, Hunt’s Ketchup & Hunt’s Tomatoes, Wesson Oil, Snack Pack, Swiss Miss, Rosarita, and Nature Made Vitamins. While with Nature Made Vitamins, he was involved in e-commerce activities, internet channel marketing, online consumer behavior, business development, account marketing strategies, and online category management.

Chuck Chugumlung – CDO & co-founder

Chuck graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California with a BFA Degree with Honors. After Graduation, Chuck began his career as a graphic designer of packaging and online marketing in the Gaming and Film Advertising field. Chuck is highly proficient in many popular 2D and 3D design software including Adobe applications and Autodesk 3D animation software.

Chuck has received several honors in the field of Art Direction, including two recognitions in the Hollywood Reporter Key Art Awards for interactive film marketing projects, “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” and “The Royal Tenenbaums”. He’s worked on many brands including, Mercedes Benz, Microsoft, Intel, Disney, Mattel and PepsiCo. Recently in October 2013, Chuck and his team won First Place at the Developers Week Hackathon at the Microsoft office in Playa Vista, California.
